“There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself. It is the only true guide you will ever have. And if you cannot hear it, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.”
—Howard Thurman
Ready to take a deeper dive into the transformational, life-giving power of a contemplative, compassion-based approach to the Enneagram?
This is Module 3 of the Contemplative Enneagram Practitioner Certification program
This intensive is open only to those on the certification path.
This page is open to the public so those perusing the certification can glimpse what Module 3 entails.
about
Module 3 is a professional learning cohort for those who feel called to accompany others through Enneagram-informed contemplative spaces—whether in 1:1 spiritual mentoring, group facilitation, or emerging forms of sacred community and holy relationship.
At the heart of this module is a weekly 90-minute Learning Lab: a living practice space for engaging, experimenting with, and refining your capacity to facilitate contemplative Enneagram work. These labs offer:
- A place to bring all your questions—both practical and philosophical—about guiding contemplative Enneagram spaces
- Support in discerning how this work is wanting to move through you
- Gentle, skillful feedback on your gifts, voice, and facilitation style
- Opportunities to practice together in a compassionate, non-competitive learning environment
Together, we will explore not only how to facilitate contemplative Enneagram spaces, but who you are becoming as a contemplative Enneagram guide.
You will also be invited to schedule optional, dedicated time for sharing your emerging offerings and receiving contemplative feedback from Rev. Nhien and/or your peers—supporting both inner alignment and outward clarity.
In addition, the module includes a half-day intensive training:
Saturday, March 7, 2026 | 10:00am–2:30pm CT
Themes woven throughout the module include:
- Discerning your unique calling
- Prosperity and right relationship with giving and receiving
- Facilitating transformation through contemplative presence
- Applying a contemplative Enneagram framework across contexts (1:1, groups, and community spaces)
A Gentle Orientation
Module 3 marks a meaningful threshold in our yearlong journey. We are not stepping away from inner work—rather, we begin listening more intentionally for how what is unfolding within us may want to become embodied in service, facilitation, creativity, and community.
This is not about becoming someone else. It is an invitation to let what is uniquely yours take shape within a field of belonging, responsibility, and care.
You are supported both in receiving and, as you feel called, in gently experimenting—always in ways that are compassionate, non-evaluative, and paced with care. You are never required to facilitate or share publicly.
The Enneagram at the Heart of This Module
Before we learn how to offer the Enneagram in service to others, we are invited to live it more fully within our own lives.
Here, the Enneagram is not something we apply to people. It becomes a contemplative companion—revealing how our patterns, defenses, and instinctual priorities shape the way we listen, speak, hold space, and discern our calling.
We come to trust that we can accompany others only as far as we have been willing to walk within ourselves.
How the Learning Labs Work
Twelve Learning Labs meet on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays from January 13–April 21, 2026.
- All sessions are recorded
- Live participation is warmly encouraged
- At least five sessions must be attended live
- Recordings are uploaded promptly so you can remain in rhythm
The Labs unfold in a gentle three-phase arc designed for depth, integration, and ethical formation.
Phase 1: Receiving & Formation (Early Weeks)
The opening weeks emphasize presence, observation, and inner formation. Rev. Nhien models contemplative Enneagram accompaniment while participants receive and witness.
You will be invited to:
- Ground in presence
- Notice your Enneagram patterns in real time
- Become aware of instinctual biases—what you attend to, avoid, or rush toward
- Be shaped by the quality of the space itself
There is no expectation to offer anything yet.
Phase 2: Gentle Experimentation (Middle Weeks)
As trust deepens, those who feel called may begin to try small pieces of practice—perhaps opening a contemplative moment, offering a reflection, or briefly accompanying another.
This is not about “doing it right.” It is about learning how it feels to hold space while remaining aware of your own type patterns and instincts—with compassion rather than self-judgment or comparison.
You may always remain in a receiving posture when that is what serves you.
Phase 3: Integration & Articulation (Later Weeks)
In the later weeks, participants may feel ready to experiment in ways that reflect their natural modalities—meditation, inquiry, poetry, teaching, ritual, spiritual companionship, or community facilitation.
Together we explore:
- How your Enneagram type and instincts shape your voice
- How your gifts want to be offered sustainably and ethically
- How to remain whole as your work becomes more visible
The focus is never performance, but faithfulness to what is uniquely yours.

Each Learning Lab centers on a contemplative dimension of practice, including:

Half-Day Intensive Training
Prosperity, Sustainability, and Ethical Self-Offering
A spacious half-day gathering exploring money, exchange, visibility, and vocational design through a contemplative Enneagram lens.
This session supports participants in offering their work without self-betrayal, commodification of the sacred, or burnout.
A Note About Volunteering
You may feel called to participate more actively—either by receiving contemplative accompaniment or, in later weeks, by gently offering a short practice aligned with your natural voice.
Participation is always optional, never evaluative, and held in compassion and care. You are free to say yes, to wait, or to change your mind at any time.
A Closing Word
This module is not about trying to impress.
It is about becoming present, self-aware, and trustworthy in the ways you serve.
You are not expected to arrive fully formed. You are invited to receive what you need, to experiment when you feel ready, and to let what is uniquely yours emerge—held within a circle of care.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.—1 Corinthians 13:12
You are the light of the world. —Matthew 5:14
