Hello, I’m Nhien!
I’m the founder of Evolving Enneagram and the upcoming author of The Enneagram of the Soul (Hampton Roads, April 7, 2025) (available for previewing and preordering today). I’m hosting a book marketing fundraiser and asking for your help in getting this book to as many people from diverse walks of life and spiritual and religious backgrounds as possible. I believe this book can be instrumental in bringing contemplative practices and the Enneagram to our world.

When I founded Evolving Enneagram on September 9, 2019, I didn’t do it alone–and, frankly, maybe I wasn’t meant to. A group of people, including the amazing souls in my Founders Circle, ushered me beyond the safety of my Unity church walls (where I served as a minister) and out into this wide world with the blessing of their love and generosity.
At times, I felt baffled by this outpouring of support. Yet more than one of those founders shared the same reason for financially contributing: They don’t have the time or energy to do what I am doing but they believe in the mission and wholeheartedly trust and believe in ME, so they wanted to support the work energetically through their financial support. Wow!
5 years later, I feel even more “on mission.” This ever evolving INTERSPIRITUAL and INTERNATIONAL community-based business known as Evolving Enneagram has since traveled the world! As a community, we’ve offered loads of scholarships to individuals of diverse backgrounds around the globe, volunteered in local prisons, and our Contemplative Practices & the Enneagram groups went from fee-based to Pay What You Can so that anyone could participate, irrespective of ability to pay.

During these past 5 years, I also somehow managed to finish my book AND Hampton Roads Publishing reached out to ME!
Individually, I knew that could only spiritually companion so many people at once–yet, I wondered, what might be the potential impact of an interspiritual book on contemplative practices and the Enneagram that seeks to reach beyond the “historical divides of religion, race, nationality, age, and gender.” (EOS, p. 1) Perhaps some will be exposed for the first time to even the idea of joining contemplation with Enneagram wisdom for their personal and for our collective evolution.
Surely, there are many ways you, dear reader, might already be supporting this work–ways that are not financial and yet highly impactful, and I want to honor that explicitly. At the same time,
Today, as of September 29, 2024 (my birthday!), I am inviting those of you who feel inspired to contribute at this time to help to launch this book into the world.

The “e” is for the Enneagram. “Anam Cara” is Gaelic for soul friend.
