About this Training
This facilitator training offers you the opportunity to become a Certified Book Journey Facilitator for The Enneagram of the Soul: A 40-Day Spiritual Companion for the 9 Types, guided by the author, Nhien Vuong, JD, MDiv.
This unique contemplative, Enneagram-informed training explores the profound intersection of self-discovery, wholeness, and interconnectedness, empowering you to lead groups with skill and compassion.
Highlights:
* This 6-hour weekend training was recorded live online, on April 12 & 13, 2025, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm CDT. Because Rev Nhien is not sure when she will offer it live again, due to multiple requests, FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY, she is offering a hybrid study option, which involves self study (approximately 4 hours of teaching and group discussion) followed by a mandatory 1:1 60-min private training/mentoring session with Nhien ($225 additional fee to be paid after you are in the course). NOTE: You can complete the training simply for your education without certifying. The 1:1 mentoring is required only for those certifying.
(For those who took the training live, they will receive 6 hours of IEA Accreditation points. For those taking the hybrid training option, with the 1:1 session, you will have 5 accreditation hours.)

We welcome everyone to this training–from Enneagram newcomers to Enneagram professionals. For those newer to the Enneagram, the book can serve as your group’s “expert” so you don’t have to. In this training, we hope to foster a safe space for you as well as your future group participants to self-reflect and grow—in conscious, contemplative, and Enneagram-literate community.

LIVE OPTION: I want to make clear that for those seeking certification, you must attend all 6 hours live to qualify for certification. If you need to miss any of that time, you must elect the Hybrid Option below:
HYBRID OPTION: Watch the videos (or any of the segments you missed) of the training + have a 60-min 1:1 private training session with me (additional fee: $225) This is the only way I can be certain you have learned the material.
Topics Covered
Recorded live April 12 & 13, 10am-1pm CDT, this is now available as a hybrid self-study/live 1:1 mentoring course.
Important: YOU MUST REGISTER BY MAY 31, 2025, MIDNIGHT CDT. YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THIS COURSE THROUGH OCTOBER 12, 2025. We recommend you pace your self-study so that Modules 1 and 2 take place over a span of at least two days. The live training was intentionally spaced to occur over 2 days rather than cramped into one long day as the space in between the sessions allows for more reflection and contemplation and thus deeper, more embodied integration of this material.
Module 1: Session A: Facilitating Compassion-based Contemplative Groups
Discover how to facilitate safe, inclusive, interspiritual community spaces for Enneagram-informed contemplation and transformation. Explore both the essence and the nuts and bolts of facilitating compassion-based, contemplative community. Learn tips on how to cultivate an atmosphere of inner and outer hospitality that welcomes authenticity and bravery.
Module 1: Session B: Author Insights on The Enneagram of the Soul
Gain some background into, and an overview of, The Enneagram of the Soul, along with insider insights from the Author about the book’s 9 Principles, 9 Prayers, 9 Practices, and the 40 Enneagram Type based “Activations” for each Type. Review Appendix A: Evolving Together: A guide for groups.
Module 2: Session A: Enneagram Types as Leaders & Group Participants
Incorporate Enneagram wisdom into understanding your own leadership biases. Learn how to invite and sustain group participation and transformation based on participants’ Enneagram types and subtypes.
Module 2: Session B: Crafting Your Book Journey
Nhien offers insights on designing your own book journey. Listen to Nhien share her own spiritual calling and tips on listening to your own soul’s calling. She also answers important participant questions on topics ranging from marketing your book journey to Enneagram typing concerns.
Becoming Certified
ONLY THE HYBRID TRAINING OPTION IS NOW AVAILABLE:
You are welcome to take this training simply for your personal benefit. To certify, you must review all course materials on your own, complete a 60-min private 1:1 training with Nhien Vuong, and submit a final reflection paper by July 13, 2025.
Rev. Nhien will review your paper and provide feedback or certification confirmation within two weeks of submission. Certified facilitators will receive a formal certificate and a certification mark for your marketing materials.
Note: Nhien is offering a discounted 1:1 fee of $225/hr for 60-min 1:1 private training/consulting.

Who is this training for?
This facilitator training is open to anyone. We do recommend that you at least know your Enneagram Type and have some basic knowledge of the Enneagram along with experience with contemplative practice. However, all are welcome who are interested in learning the skill of contemplative group facilitation, irrespective of your Enneagram background or whether you hope to certify. To officially certify, you WILL need to demonstrate Enneagram-informed awareness in your final paper.

Meet Nhien
Founder of Evolving Enneagram and the author of The Enneagram of the Soul: A 40-day Spiritual Companion for the 9 Types, Nhien Vuong, JD, MDiv, is an international Enneagram presenter and retreat leader, contemplative community builder, and transformational soul guide. Nhien has been studying the Enneagram since 2002 and teaching it since 2007. She is an IEA Accredited Professional with Distinction and is certified in both the Somatic Enneagram and the IEA-Accredited Awareness to Action programs. Nhien has presented professionally in countries including the United States, Egypt, Mexico, Denmark, and Sweden and at online global summits and workshops that have reached upwards of forty thousand people in over 150 countries.
An ordained Unity minister, Nhien is best known for her work nurturing sacred inter-spiritual, Enneagram-literate spaces for individuals to cultivate authenticity, wholeness, and belonging. She has done this work at retreats but most regularly through the weekly Contemplative Practices & the Enneagram (aka “CPE”) groups she founded, which have been steady and growing in depth and size since 2017. These CPE groups have become a cornerstone for Evolving Enneagram’s work in this world.
Nhien is a published poet and writer. She has been a regular contributor to Unity Magazine© and The Daily Word Magazine.© She regularly offers scholarships for Evolving Enneagram’s many transformational programs and donates her time to various nonprofits and the incarcerated. Nhien’s personal vision is for a more compassionate, awakened, and unified world.
